My name is Lindsey Clydesdale and I run a small stud in the town of Witham in Essex along with my daughter, Katie. We are hobby breeders specialising in Abyssinian, Merinos, PE Whites and Ivory Satins. I have kept cavies since childhood and have encouraged Katie to do the same.
We are registered with the British Cavy Council and show under the name of Galore Cavy Stud.
All our guinea pigs live in a spacious 10 x 7 shed but are out in the runs at every opportunity
We mainly breed for our own show stock but occasionally have babies available for sale.
Showing started for us In July 2006 and since then there has been no stopping us. We really have the show bug!
2007 was an interesting year of highs and lows. Katie done extremely well showing as a Juvenile having won various awards with her Ivory Satins, the highlight of the year being 4th Best Juvenile in show at the London Champs in early September 07.
During 2007, I had some success showing my Abyssinians and PE whites but have been concentrating more on breeding my own show stock for showing during 2008.
2008 has got off to a fantastic start for both Katie and I having with both of us winning Best of Breed for our Satins and Abys. See show results for details.
